WHAT PERFORMANCE IS NEEDED?
Both engine models are particularly suitable for sailboats as a flat slide, but also for smaller motor boats. Depending on the shape of the hull we recommend the trend 2.2 for boats up to 2.5 tons, the trend 4.3 can be used up to 4.0 tons in order to have sufficient reserves against wind and waves.
HOW ARE FLANGING MOTORS PLACED?
Basically, flange motors are positioned between keel and rudder. The engine should be closer to the keel than the rudder. The reason for this is that after the propeller turbulences arise and thus vibration can be caused at the rudder. Furthermore, the engine is also in the leeward water from the keel and thus has a lower drag resistance. In addition, flange motors should be arranged parallel to the waterline. For this purpose, custom made compensating wedges are offered by Aquamot, which are at the same time vibration-damping.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DELIVERY?
In general, the drive package of the E-flange motor contains everything except batteries and charger. From the highly efficient engine including solid propeller & vibration damping compensating plate, on-board computer up to driving switch and on / off switch, everything is there. As an option, a folding propeller can be purchased to reduce drag drag, and a custom compensator key can be used to facilitate assembly.
How long is the warranty period?
The warranty period is 2 years.
